Does it matter what the title of movie is? Can director decide the title?

Will the government backup the Censor Board and director to ensure they are able to release their movies in a legal manner.

We are seeing a delay of 1 month already due to government's poor attitude towards law and order. Padmavati should have been cleared by 1 December.

Yogi Adityanath - Making a mockery of law

  The Yogi Adityanath government has ordered withdrawal of a case against the chief minister and a dozen others for holding a meeting in alleged violation of prohibitory orders over 22 years ago.
 
  The Adityanath government’s order to withdraw the case against the chief minister was issued last week, just a day before the Uttar Pradesh Criminal Law (Composition of Offences and Abatement of Trials) (Amendment) Bill, 2017 was tabled in the state assembly.

Before the bill was tabled, Adityanath told the House that 20,000 “politically-motivated” cases were filed across the state over protest demonstrations. The amendment would bring to an end all these cases pending before magistrates till 31 December 2015, he said.

The case was pending in a Gorakhpur court which had earlier directed that non-bailable warrants (NBWs) be issued against the accused for non-appearance.


In May this year, shortly after Adityanath took over the reins of the state, his government had told the Allahabad high court that he cannot be prosecuted in another case for allegedly making a hate speech that was said to have triggered communal riots in Gorakhpur in 2007.

The government refused to grant the mandatory sanction for his prosecution. Adityanath, who was then the local MP, made the alleged hate speech following the killing of a Hindu youth in a clash between two groups during a Muharram procession.


Setting a precedent

Yogi Adityanath is setting a precedent that one can violate laws and throw out all legal proceedings after coming to power. This provides more incentive to violate laws.

Difference of opinion

Delhi government is looking to make services easy by asking officials to visit homes and deliver services such as caste and birth certificates, licences, vehicle registrations, and pensions to senior citizens and physically challenged among others, from eight department of the government.

Considering India has an overall net penetration of 33.5% with urban penetration at 72.5% and rural at 15.6%. We are far far away from complete internet availability especially in rural areas. So it makes sense to home deliver basic services.

LG has advised that the matter be reconsidered with the aim to put in place a model which provides for 100% digital delivery of services to people and facilitates access to bridge the ‘digital divide’. To provide access to the internet, the government can consider enabling the unemployed youth to set up internet kiosks where these services can be accessed and made available

LG has a point that if services are made online it would be easy to prevent corruption but with average of 33.5% we are still very far in enabling internet access to every citizen.
If government looks to launch schemes for internet kiosks rather than create policy for enabling cheap internet access. We are all aware how government schemes run. They do create immense opportunities but mostly for well connected people.

Ideal approach would be to provide home delivery service as well as educate and implement guidelines to ensure that they cannot be misused.

How Modi ji plans to tackle corruption using aadhaar

Some of my friends said aadhaar will help to reduce corruption so it is being made compulsory for lpg, bank accounts, sim (also helps to catch terrorists)

I think aadhaar is a grand step to catch terrorists. We can peacefully forget about corruption since the biggest loot invested in land and properties does not require aadhaar.

How bigots work

VHP, Bajrang Dal and BJP leaders have expressed concerns over
minorities encroaching public spaces

The leaders fail to mention that in terms of illegal constructions there are 1260 hindu temples illegally constructed? Are they going to bring down 1260 hindu temples along with 260 muslim shrines? Or Is it just a tactic to demonize minority community.

BJP which usually connives when such things happen is also dirty through association of its BJP youth wing which protested sale of a flat to Muslim and got the sale reversed despite payment already being made.

On September 29, 2009, the Supreme Court had ruled that “no unauthorized construction” in the name of religious places of any community would be allowed in public places including roads and parks. The apex court was ruling on a 2006 order by the Gujarat High Court which directed the government to remove encroachment on public spaces by religious structures. The high court had taken cognizance of a news report in TOI, quoting the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, that 1,200 Hindu temples and 260 Muslim shrines had encroached on public spaces.

LPG gas

Everyone is aware of the hole in pocket when you order an LPG gas

All air travellers see their ticket plastered with Modi ji crowing about giving 1 crore gas connection to the poor

He doesn't seem to care enough what the poor do after he gives them connection and the gas cylinder becomes empty. Apparently not much they can do, the first woman to benefit and covered by government in Delhi for 3 days says
Gas is so expensive. How can I afford a refill. She continues to burn wood and the cylinder is placed in a corner to be used on special occassions.

Everyone is aware of efficiency of LPG companies. Modi ji isn't interested in reducing gas prices. He got his photo on your plane ticket. That's all that matters.
