False News websites and Facebook Groups

There are news sites and facebook gropus which are spreading false information. Sometimes they are masquerading as original news site. Here is a list which can be checked to verify that you are not getting your news from false sites

1. ddbharti.in

This website tries to show itself as official Door Darshan Bharati official site which is bharati.ddgov.in (note the 2 a's in bharati)

2. http://www.dainik-bharat.com/
This website is inundated with false news. On visiting Home Page You don't find any contact us information. Articles do not mention any authors either.

3. BJP Khargone Barwani Facebook Group (@BjpKhargoneBarwani)

This group circulates false news in favour of BJP

In 2002, a woman wrote a letter narrating her ordeal and addressed it to the respective Chief Ministers of the states of Punjab and Haryana, and to the Union Home Minister, CBI, NHRC and the Punjab and Haryana High Court. The Punjab and Haryana High Court took cognisance of the letter and sought a report from the District and Sessions Judge of Sirsa, post which, judge MS Sular conducted an inquiry and submitted a report recommending a probe by a central agency.
After the report from Sirsa, the Punjab and Haryana High Court ordered the CBI to probe into the allegations leveled in the letter. The Chandigarh Branch, CBI registered a case of rape under the IPC Section 376, criminal intimidation under Section 506 and insult to the modesty of a woman under 509.

This page misuses the name of Mr. Atal Bihari Vajpayee and  specialises in publishing misleading news item

Bill gates met Yogi to intensify the Japanese Encephalitis and Acute Encephalitis Syndrom vaccination programme in UP. This is regarded as an achievement of Yogi Aditya Nath. What achievement? Need to increase vaccination of people in UP? Is that an achievement?
