When your mac book is not showing the hard disk that you plugged into it

For starters I have formatted my hard disk to vfat system so that I can use it on both mac and windows.

Some times it does not show up despite being connected

In such cases

Go to Finder -> Go to folders 

and type

/Volumes

Surprisingly this showed the hard disk I was trying to connect to my macbook. Yay! I don't know why it worked but just glad it did. Now I can backup my macbook data.

Russia Ukraine Fight

Russian Agenda: There are Putin backers dreaming of creating a unified Russia (similar to Akhand Bharat dreamers)

Russia Limitations: The oligarchs supporting Putin will take some heat in frozen assets but if things worsen too much due to sanctions they might get someone else to defeat Putin.

Ukraine Agenda : Ukraine wants to remain independent and have sufficient muscle to not be bullied by big brother Russia. A European Union membership would be the best outcome of this crisis. 

Ukraine limitations:  Ukraine is the battleground. It runs the risk of being forced into Russia similar to Tibet and China situation. 

American Agenda : America will fund Ukraine basically same technique that it used in Afghanistan to beat Soviet Union. 

Further the shale extraction lobby would be more than happy to supply Europe if things escalate and Russia is cut off from financial ecosystem.

American limitations : If things become too hot and fuel prices shoot up resulting in run away inflation it will force America to seek a quicker resolution because politicians don't like to lose elections.

Ubuntu not showing exfat option

 So exfat is a format which is supported both on mac, windows and linux. It also allows to have files more than 4 gb size.

The problem I was facing is Ubuntu was showing exfat option as greyed out. The below command helped to install required libray and Viola I could format my pendrive into exfat format.

sudo apt install exfat-utils exfat-fuse

How to use inbuilt disks functionality to format pendrive

Launch "disks" app in ubuntu

Carefully select the pendrive you want to format

Click the gear icon

Select Format the partition

Give a volume name  and select other option

Now select exfat format as option 

Select format
It will inform this will delete all content on your pendrive yada.. Click Ok.
Done!
